Rebecca grew up in the pharmacy, spending countless hours playing and doing homework while her parents worked. Were any child labor laws broken? Who can say?! Rebecca is an Opp native and an ’06 graduate of Opp High School. After high school, she attended Auburn University where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2013. At that point, she returned home to work alongside her dad, often being mistaken for a nurse or janitor. In 2022, she officially purchased the business. She and her husband Matt have two rambunctious sons, several lazy cats, and two beagles. Rebecca's life motto is, "There is always room for one more cat."
He will answer to “Craig” when he has to, but “Greg” is the name his momma gave him. Greg Vaughan has been a pharmacist at T & C since 1978 and owned the business from 1991 until he sold it to his daughter Rebecca in 2022. He still works in the pharmacy, often offering such sage advice as, "Don't throw that away; we can probably use it later." While he has answered to many names over the years, his favorite is Poppy--the name his grandchildren call him. Greg has a heart of gold and has helped countless people in the community over the years, although he would never admit it. Contrary to popular belief, his favorite candy is not Butterfinger but is, in fact, Snickers.
Jessica Pierce has been a part of the T & C family since she was a teenager. She is a '95 graduate of Opp High School and a '99 graduate of Auburn University. Fun fact: Jessica is fluent in two languages, including Pig Latin. She and her husband Cam have four children and operate a non-profit called Cooper's Smile in memory of their late son. While she excels in the pharmacy, Jessica shines brightest when taking part in her favorite non-work-related pastime: yelling at referees and umpires. It's truly a work of art.
Sunny grew up in Opp and graduated from Opp High in '04. She has three children and a cat named Princess. She loves to dare her fellow employees to do things, promising, "I'll give you five dollars!" So far she has not followed through on any of these promises. Sunny joined the T & C team in 2021, and shortly thereafter Greg decided to step down and sell the business. Was it all a coincidence, or did she send him over the edge? We may never know! When she's not at work, Sunny volunteers her time knitting small hats for endangered tortoises. Her favorite song is Mambo No. 5, and her favorite ice cream flavor is Cotton Candy.
Regan might be one of our youngest employees at T & C, but she can pound a Coke Zero like a middle-aged man twice her size. Regan is a '19 graduate of Kinston High School, but don't hold that against her. She retired from the Air Force after an illustrious career and is currently working on a degree in something to do with computers or the internet, I think. You're welcome to ask her, but if you're anything like us, it's probably way over your head.
Cierra has been with us since 2022. She is a '19 graduate of Straughn High School. She and her husband Payton have one son and twin boys on the way! Most people don't know that Cierra used to be a DJ for KMX, but talk to her on the phone, and you'll know it's true. You've heard of Elvis impersonators, but Cierra's claim-to-fame is that she is the first and only Priscilla impersonator. In addition to performing, Cierra's favorite hobbies include being a police sketch artist and a riverboat captain.
Kaylie joined our team in 2020 at the ripe old age of 16. She is a ‘23 graduate of Opp High and is currently attending LBW, where she is studying to be a Physical Therapy Assistant. Kaylie is probably our quietest employee—it may be because Sunny never gives her a chance to talk, or because she’s an avid horse whisperer and doesn’t want to spook any customers; we’re not sure! Fun fact: she once grew an inch-and-a-half in just a matter of hours!
Matt is an Opp native and an '05 graduate of Opp High. He has been an unofficial part of the T & C family for many years (seeing as how he is married to Rebecca), but he finally weaseled his way on board in 2023. By virtue of his being married to Rebecca, Matt has probably named more cats than anyone in a 100-mile radius. He knows lots of random, useless facts and is pretty good at making up what he doesn't know. He has been known to work Seinfeld references into conversation, and he never lets his kids win a Nerf war. He has been voted "Greg's Favorite Son-in-Law" for 15 years running. He enjoys Yacht Rock and likes to whistle--two things that annoy his co-workers.
